End-of-Semester: What to Turn In ?

Final deliverables for Fall 2021 ARE320K Intro to Design 1:

All work is due Monday 6 Dec at 5:00pm
(unless negotiated differently with GB)

TURN IN all work in your Pin-Up-Space:
1. Final Exploded View (trigger image that goes to pdf printed from Revit)
– with louvers displaced horizontally (leave storefront frame)
– if you have perforated metal as part of your shading, leave the storefront frame and the perforated metal ON the face of the building.
NOTES (check back this Friday for any additional notes in italics)
– (different from the tutorial) Please make all architecture walls WHITE
– Remember to have primary and secondary structure for your pavillion roof !

Use storefront for all glass/doors/railings and be sure glass is no bigger than 40sf !


2. View A – and – View B (turn everything on).
(use trigger images that goes to pdfs printed from Revit).

3. Structural-only View – and – View B (structure only)

4. Minimum of ONE (1) rendered interior view showing light coming into court.
(as taught in Miguel’s tutorial)

NOTE regarding total Pin-Up-Space collection:
The purpose of the Pin-Up-Space is to show professionals and grad-schools your ability to sketch and study design solutions (radicals). Please post your best sketches only.

Minimum requirements for Pin-Up-Space (things I’m looking for when grading)

– Final deliverables as listed above
– Model progress images (not required)
– All lecture notes from Friday Noon series
– Mechanical model image
– Mechanical sketches
– Gravity + lateral model image
– Lateral sketches
– Gravity model image
– Gravity plan sketches
– Glazing percentage = ?
– Park radicals (not req’d)
– Rhino massing models
– Massing sketches
– Climate research (please put your city in the Title)
– Early in-class sketches
